TEAM & ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE
HOW IS IDAHO FFA ORGANIZED?
IDAHO FFA’S STRENGTH COMES FROM A TEAM EFFORT AT EVERY LEVEL OF THE ORGANIZATION.
Idaho FFA connects local chapters with district, state, and national leadership, ensuring every member has a voice and access to opportunities. Advisors, district directors, and state staff provide the guidance and resources that strengthen agricultural education and create meaningful experiences. This structure is outlined in the Idaho FFA Constitution & Bylaws, which help members and advisors understand how the organization functions, where to find support, and how to pursue leadership opportunities that grow the next generation of leaders in agriculture.
LOCAL-LEVEL
FFA Members | Chapter Officers | FFA Advisors | Local Alumni & Supporter Chapters
The foundation of FFA begins with its members—students enrolled in agricultural education who participate in classroom learning, supervised agricultural experiences, and FFA activities. At the chapter level, elected chapter officers provide leadership to guide the program of activities, organize events, and represent their peers. Each chapter is supported by a chapter advisor, an agricultural education teacher who mentors members, facilitates opportunities, and ensures alignment with FFA’s mission. Local alumni and supporters also play a vital role by offering time, expertise, and resources that strengthen the success of the chapter and its members.
DISTRICT-LEVEL
District Officers | District Advisor | District Director
Chapters are grouped into 11 districts, which provide opportunities for collaboration and leadership development across multiple schools. District officers, elected by their peers, represent FFA members at this level and coordinate activities such as leadership events and competitive activities. They are supported by district advisors (agricultural education teachers who guide the officers), and a district director who serves as the primary liaison between local chapters and the state association, helping to ensure consistent communication and program delivery.
STATE-LEVEL
At the state level, Idaho FFA is represented by a team of state officers elected annually to lead, inspire, and represent members across the state. They work closely with Idaho FFA state staff, who provide daily management, oversee programs, and support chapters and advisors. The Idaho FFA Board of Directors offers governance and oversight to ensure the organization operates effectively and in alignment with its mission. The Idaho FFA Foundation works alongside the association to secure financial resources and industry partnerships that fund scholarships, leadership conferences, and chapter initiatives. In addition, the Idaho FFA Alumni and Supporters organization provides a network of volunteers and advocates who continue to strengthen the impact of FFA in local communities.
NATIONAL-LEVEL
On the national stage, the National FFA Organization is led by a team of national officers elected annually at the National FFA Convention & Expo. They represent FFA’s 900,000+ members and serve as the voice of student leadership nationwide. National FFA staff provide organizational management, educational resources, and program development to support members and advisors across the country. The National FFA Board of Directors governs the association and ensures long-term strategic direction. The National FFA Foundation raises funds from corporate partners, individual donors, and industry supporters to sustain student programs and opportunities. Finally, the National FFA Alumni and Supporters organization mobilizes a broad community of advocates and volunteers who champion agricultural education and the FFA mission nationwide.
