STATE LEADERSHIP CONVENTION
APRIL 1-4, 2026
COLLEGE OF SOUTHERN IDAHO CAMPUS - TWIN FALLS
The Idaho FFA State Leadership Convention is the highlight of the Idaho FFA calendar and a four‑day celebration of members’ leadership, personal growth and career success. Held each spring at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls, the convention draws more than 1,400 members and guests. Six high‑energy sessions feature motivational speakers, including the retiring state officers, who challenge and inspire attendees. Awards and scholarships are presented, and Idaho FFA supporters are recognized.

PLANNING FOR CONVENTION
Attendance – The convention is open to FFA members, advisors, parents, alumni, sponsors and special guests. All attendees must register in advance; there is no onsite registration for unregistered guests. Every registrant receives a convention theme lapel pin that must be visible on official dress to be admitted to sessions. Advisors and adults must wear the convention name tag picked up at registration. Students must be accompanied by an FFA advisor or appointed school district representative (recommended ratio: at least one adult per six students).
Awards & Recognition – Top teams and individuals of Career & Leadership Development Events, scholarship recipients, proficiency and agriscience fair applicants, State FFA Degree earners, and other members competing in various award programs are recognized on stage during sessions.
Broadcasting and Streaming – All general sessions of the Idaho FFA State Leadership Convention will be livestreamed through the Idaho FFA Association YouTube channel. Links will be posted on the convention app and Idaho FFA social media. Replays of sessions and highlights will remain available after the event.
Cancellations – Registration fees are non‑refundable. Please contact state staff for additional information regarding convention registration cancellation.
Code of Conduct – All Idaho FFA convention participants are expected to abide by the FFA Code of Ethics and follow local, state and federal laws. Participants should abstain from abusive, disruptive or inappropriate behaviour in person or via digital platforms. Violations may result in removal from convention activities, revocation of awards or dismissal from the event without refund.
Courtesy Corps – Idaho FFA offers a Courtesy Corps program to help the convention run smoothly. Information about volunteer shifts and responsibilities will be distributed via the Idaho Ag Ed Listserv or will be available here. Interested members should watch for announcements and sign‑up instructions from the Idaho FFA Association.
Delegate Responsibilities – Each chapter selects two delegates to represent them. Delegates join committees to generate ideas and develop resolutions for the delegate body, with approved resolutions forwarded to the Idaho FFA Board of Directors. Delegates must attend all business sessions and be prepared to debate and vote. More details regarding delegate responsibilities can be found here.
Housing & Lodging – The convention is hosted at the College of Southern Idaho. Chapters and families are responsible for lodging, registration does not include housing. Parking is available on campus and at hotels; follow posted regulations
Meals & Food Trucks – The College of Southern Idaho does not operate concessions during the convention. Instead, Taylor Café and Eagle’s Nest Coffeeshop (located in the Taylor Building) will be open to FFA members and chaperones. Food trucks will set up near the tennis courts on campus. Operating times for the food trucks will be shared on the convention app and sent to advisors via the Idaho Ag Ed Listserv.
Official Dress Code – Members must wear official dress: FFA jacket zipped to the top, black slacks/nylons or skirt, white collared shirt, official FFA tie or scarf, and black dress shoes. Advisors and guests should wear business professional attire. Official dress of recognized religions may be worn with official dress.
Photo and Video Recording Policy – By registering for the Idaho FFA convention, attendees grant permission for Idaho FFA to use images or video of them in promotional materials. Personal photography and video recording are allowed from your seat or other safe areas, provided you do not block aisles or disturb others.
Prohibited Items – Prohibited items include knives of any size, weapons, alcohol, drugs or drug paraphernalia, laser pointers, outside food or drinks, oversized bags, pepper spray/mace and any other item deemed unacceptable by state staff or the College of Southern Idaho.
Sensory Sensitivities – Expect loud music, flashing lights, strobe effects and other sensory elements during general sessions. Individuals who are sensitive to such stimuli should be aware of these features.
Weather – Convention takes place in April in Twin Falls, when temperatures can range from cool mornings to mild afternoons with occasional spring showers. Check local forecasts before traveling, plan for variable conditions, and move indoors during lightning, strong winds or thunderstorms.
WIFI – The College of Southern Idaho provides free Wi‑Fi for convention attendees. However, bandwidth may be limited due to the large number of devices on campus; expect slower speeds during peak usage.
